About Us: The Pacific Northwest has a glorious food history, evolving from the Native American Indians who enjoyed the bounty from both land and sea. Lewis and Clark embraced this temperate region and celebrated the northwest’s authentic and traditional foods. From the coastal rainforests to the mighty Columbia, from the majestic mountains to the dense forests, we live in a region that looks and tastes like none other in the world. From our long coastline and rivers we think first and foremost of seafood: salmon, steelhead, shrimp, clams, mussels, oysters, razor clams, geoduck, Dungeness crab, sturgeon, rockfish, and halibut. Along with food from the sea, the land is rich and fertile and the woods are abundant with berries, edible ferns, mushrooms, and greens. Our orchards and farmland make the Northwest a leader in the production of apples, peaches, pears, cherries, hazelnuts, sweet onions, grapes, asparagus, potatoes and, of course, berries.
